NAPA Awards Program

UPDATE - The NAPA Awards Policy has been revised for 2012:

NAPA Awards Policy 2012

The awards are established in recognition of individual contributions to the advancement of the Navy physician assistant role in medicine, leadership and scholarly endeavors. Nominations (complete packages) must be received by April 1 of each year for the Awards Committee to consider. All packages must be sent to David Bachand, NAPA VP. The NAPA BOD received TEN COMPLETE PACKAGES this year (for April 2011 cut-off), which is a HUGE improvement over the past several years. The three BIG WINNERS were presented with the awards during the NAPA General Membership Meeting on 31 May 2011.

There is also the AAPA PAragon Awards program, which has a Federal Services PA of the Year category. Packages must be submitted through NAPA Awards Chair (navynapa@hotmail.com) for consideration. NAPA cut-off for forwarding on to AAPA is 15 Jan of each year. The AAPA PAragon awards are presented at the AAPA annual CME Conference. For additional information, please visit the AAPA site at:
